Last Christmas I posted photos and snippets of conversation on my Facebook page of The Little Fulla’s advent calendar adventure. This year, I thought I’d share it on the blog so more people can enjoy it and share in the imagination of a small boy as he discovers a new piece of the Christmas story each day of December until Christmas. Each morning he gets to open the draw on the advent calendar house for that day. Each drawer contains a piece related to the Christmas story and a Bible verse, which I read. Then The Little Fulla gets to play with them and ask questions. Will trucks come to transport everyone? Will the donkey be naughty again? What will King Herod do this time? I don’t know, but it’s sure better than giving him chocolate or lollies.

Day 1 – The Angel

Scripture: Luke 1:26-27
“I knew it was the angel.”

“Everyone hold on to the angel.” (The angel flies through the air.)

“Where’s her legs? Do angels actually have legs?”
“Brrrrrrrm. Brrrrrrrmmm.” (The angel’s draw is now some kind of vehicle driving through the air, very politely.)
