I have finished digging the lawn out of my new garden bed, all by myself. It wasn’t too bad, once I figured out a spading method that was easy on my back. Nala responded with great joy as I uncovered the dry soil. First, she thought I had made her a giant litter box. Next, she found a clump of dirt that she tossed in the air and patted around, twirling and springing with graceful abandon. Last of all, she rolled and squirmed around in the dirt in an epic dust bath finale. I didn’t know dirt was that exciting. I’m also not sure what I’m going to find in there in the morning.
