New Garden Bed (Part 6)

This is the part in which I have done some of the exciting phase – planting! I still have a way to go yet, and the plants have a lot of growing to do.  I have planted Scleranthus uniflorus in the holes around the edge, which will look quite fascinating once they have filled out. All the plants in there are natives, mostly ground covers and grasses – my typical favourites. I also have a few bronze dwarf flaxes, including a couple of Phormium tenax ‘Sweet Mist’, which is a fairly recent cultivar. I am curious to see how it grows. The ‘stream’ down the middle is planted with Acaena inermis ‘Purpurea’. So that’s about it for now, more plants to come…
