A New Year Already?

The Mount

This year came around fast. It was a sneaky little sod. I don’t know if I’m finished with last year yet, but too bad; I must stride forth into the unknown of 2015. It is sure to hold many exciting adventures, lots of nuttiness and, no doubt, some challenges. I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, but I do like to set a few goals at the beginning of the year. So, here are my hastily-assembled goals, which may or may not require later editing:

  1. Wear pants to work.
  2. Set a regular time for my home exercises and have a tennis night with The Husband.
  3. Buy a house.

Yes, these goals vary in their importance and achievability. The pants one is so I don’t miss out on any more opportunities to go out in the field at work. That’s what happens when you wear a skirt.

The exercise one has been the trickiest to assemble. I was considering joining a gym, but I don’t really want to pay for it. I have a good set of exercises I was doing at home, but I just need to make a set time of day for them that fits around my job. As for tennis, I really enjoy playing tennis, even if we only do it spasmodically in summer with The Little Sister and Little Brother-in-law… But if The Husband and I set a tennis night once a week, at the free tennis court, maybe we can actually get better at it. We might even be able to play a proper game. Imagine that. Watch out people! No, seriously, watch out; give me a wide perimeter…

The house goal is an easy one to make, and something I really want, but obviously isn’t the easiest to achieve. We haven’t done much on that front yet, so we’ll have to see how that pans out.

Happy New Year everyone!

Does anyone else have goals for the year?
